Our Story
Key Home Goods began in 2019, when our founder and owner, Andrew Key, crafted something truly personal. A pair of custom cutting boards as wedding gifts for two lifelong friends. His desire was to give them something meaningful; a physical representation of his appreciation for them. But he didn’t want to give them just any cutting board. He wanted them to have something truly unique, and that would stand the test of time.
So, he designed two: one in a houndstooth pattern, one in herringbone.​ Back then, these patterns hardly existed in the world of end-grain cutting boards. However, he decided to elevate them a step further by taking another unconventional approach, book-matching the wood’s grain to create a layered, dimensional effect that no one else was making.

A pattern within the pattern. Our signature was born.
That was the moment he realized this was his purpose.

Four years and many boards later, in 2023 he turned that realization into a reality and officially founded Key Home Goods. His goal was simple: bring beauty back to utility. Not mass-produced, not disposable, but heirloom-quality products made to be used, loved, and passed down.
