Product Use Policy

By purchasing, receiving, or using products from Key Home Goods, LLC, you (“the Customer”) acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

1. Assumption of Risk

   • Our products are designed for culinary use and require the use of knives, utensils, and proper care. You acknowledge that using these products carries inherent risk, and you shall assume full responsibility for any outcomes related to their use.

2. Limitation of Liability

   • Key Home Goods, LLC shall not be held liable for any personal injury, damage, or loss resulting from the use, care, maintenance, or misuse of our products. Ownership and proper handling remain solely the Customer's responsibility.

3. Maintenance Disclaimer

   • Failure to follow our care and maintenance guidelines, including the use of unauthorized products as outlined below or neglecting conditioning routines, may lead to damage or reduced performance. We do not assume liability for any consequences thereof.

4. Warranty Exclusions & Voiding Conditions

   • Our cutting board and charcuterie board products are covered under a limited warranty designed to protect against craftsmanship defects. However, this warranty is immediately voided if any of the following conditions occur:

     • Running the board through a dishwasher

     • Submerging or soaking the board in water or any other liquid

     • Using bleach, rubbing alcohol, or standard household cleaners on the board

     • Misuse beyond standard culinary or serving purposes, including using the board as a cutting surface for non-food items or for high-impact mechanical tasks

     • Using the board as a hot pad, trivet, or placing hot pots, pans, or utensils on the surface causing scorching, burns, warping, or glue delamination

     • Applying improper oils such as vegetable oil, canola oil, olive oil, sunflower oil, corn oil, linseed oil, tung oil, or coconut oil (refined, virgin, or otherwise). Only food-grade mineral oil, beeswax/mineral oil blends, or professionally formulated wood cutting board care products are approved.

   • Improper care not only accelerates wear, but disqualifies your board from warranty protection under Our Guarantee.

5. Indemnification

   • You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Key Home Goods, LLC, its owners, employees, and affiliates against any claims, damages, losses, or legal fees arising from the use or misuse of its products.
